They have 7 kids and through the years, I've always been so impressed with how much they love each other. It was weird to see older kids playing with younger kids, and helping so much. I wanted that for my family. So, we homeschool too.Homeschool Familyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15357898749314091170noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17691136.post-88812760575436788582010-12-19T07:18:30.500-08:002010-12-19T07:18:30.500-08:00This comment has been removed by the author.Steve Carrollhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14091676150415334010noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17691136.post-25370748475971476372010-09-17T13:02:43.979-07:002010-09-17T13:02:43.979-07:00Interesting article. My son had to defend a neighbor boy against HS boys who chased him off our property. They also love to tell my son how much play time they get during the day. I know it's context, but my son is the cub scout type, and he gets more acceptance in public school now than at church. Also, every teacher he's had have been Christians so far. I am not knocking homeschool by any means, but is troublesome to see the prejudice that can come with it sometimes.MKnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17691136.post-61008792010089889682010-08-14T08:46:38.132-07:002010-08-14T08:46:38.132-07:00I so love your socialization examples ~ beautiful!...I so love your socialization examples ~ beautiful!
And I agree that those families who homeschool their children create tender and compassionate young adults, equipped with the experiences and confidence that comes from being part off and vitally active in their families.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00680885177828739009noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17691136.post-50265636987156605072010-08-11T09:36:39.961-07:002010-08-11T09:36:39.961-07:00socialization didn't seem like a bizarre thing...socialization didn't seem like a bizarre thing to me. He jumped up and did it without complaint. I thought nothing of it, but someone made a comment about "poor big brother" who had to help his little sister. I was honestly a bit shocked. My son (usually) helps his baby sisters gladly. My only response is thankfulness.

Homeschooling is definitely about building family.

Peace to you,
Renae
http://lifenurturingeducation.com/Renaehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15144292657444769070noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17691136.post-9944741249750194562010-08-08T21:08:18.233-07:002010-08-08T21:08:18.233-07:00thank you for writing that post.
