Sigh....

I am currently working for a major university doing social science research interviews. I've done it off and on for the last few years, and I enjoy it. The work is generally interesting, I meet a lot of different people, and it is incredibly flexible. Even though I am a very strong introvert, I tend to go completely nuts if I don't have some interaction with the real world...so that helps, too.

This assignment is different. It is at home, and they are trying to get as many of the interviews done over the phone and just hunt down the people who are left when Spring hits. So I am sitting in my computer room, staring at a computer with a headset on my head for 4 hours a day, feeling like a telemarketer. Luckily it is longitudinal, so these people know who I am, expect me to call, and are interested in participating.

So this has really effected my desire to blog though. While I still have about 20 blogposts going on inside my head, I really hate the idea of sitting at the computer for one more minute than I have to (though I had no problem doing it for 6 hours when it was something I wanted to do). And, I might add, my children hate the idea of me spending one more minute at the computer than I am right now (since with work, I am practically inaccessible)....so my blogging probably will be pretty sporadic until Spring. But I told you that it would be that way anyway.....
