See those pillows? They mark a great victory. I come from a long line of women that don't really get around to those sorts of "luxuries." You know..the sorts of things that kind of make a house a home. There is always something more important, and there is always the possibility of being questioned regarding whether they are appropriate spending....
So I have pillows. Pretty pillows. And they also settled the question as to what color my walls will be. Ice blue. I want the feel of the ocean. I've been toying around with sea greens, even periwinkle...but it will be blue.
Maybe someday I'll even figure out what kind of pictures to put behind that couch. Or get end tables.

I'm good at faking like I know how to decorate.
Ice-blue and Brown? I'm on the picture-thing, my friend. I am ON IT.
LOL Does ice blue meet with your approval? It is a bit trendy, like celery and brown, but I do like it.
I kind of like this one, because it reminds me of the Central Coast

I also saw a couple of prints that would go side by side (but not on this site) that show date palms by a Mediterranean looking gate.
I would love to see what you have in mind!
And actually, I LOVE your house. You DO know how to decorate.
LOL. All I do is pick catalog pictures I like and try to match them. And thank you. Can you guess, from visiting my house, which catalog is my go-to source? LOL.
What I was thinking of was a big piece of large-print fabric stapled to pine stretcher frames from an art supply place. It's not like a piece of Real Art, but it does pull all the colors of the room together, and if it's a print you love, it works. It also fills up the blank wall for cheap!
