Back on the Bandwagon
weight loss: 20 lbs.!!!!

This past month has been rather chaotic. The family had around of a respiratory crud go around (and it looks like we're on round two). I find that this tends to be the number one thing that gets in the way of my acquiring new eating habits. When I feel awful, grocery shopping doesn't get done (and then when the kids are feeling awful, it doesn't get done either, and I'm stressed....when I'm sick, I miss those old single days where everyone would just leave me alone!!!) and so fast food becomes the option again. Along with that, nothing clears a terrible, achy, mucus-coated throat like a good soft drink.

Thankfully, I didn't gain much. Maybe about two pounds. I also lost an inch around my waist. If nothing else, 2 months of new eating habits has changed the WAY I eat, and the amount. I've found I don't snack as much, and I am still likely to choose options that are at least closer to what I should be eating.

This week, though, my choices have been better, and I've lost three pounds, and that puts me at a 20 lbs. loss! I am so thrilled. I don't think I've ever managed to lose 20 lbs. before. I want to keep going. Now that the weather is getting better, I might be able to motivate myself to actually go walking

Congratulations! 20 lbs is excellent! Glad you are all feeling better too. Do you have a little radio you can take with you on your walks so you can catch the ball game? The Indians open tonight in Chicago, I'll be knitting along instead of walking along.

I can't imagine losing 20 lbs, cause I've never been able to do it. It must feel fabulous. Enjoy walking in the spring weather!
