Good Ol' INFP

Still me....

INFP - "Questor". High capacity for caring. Emotional face to the world. High sense of honor derived from internal values. 4.4% of total population.
Free Jung Personality Test (similar to Myers-Briggs/MBTI)

I love personality tests, but the Myers-Briggs has always rang the most true to me. They were always my favorite classes in college and grad school. I don't talk about it much, but when I grow up someday, I want to be a psychologist.

The first time I heard of this one was when my brother was telling me about it. He'd taken it at work, and when telling me about it, he was expounding why his type, ESTJ, was clearly the best. Of course, when I took it, I ended up being everything he disdained ..... I'm kind of proud of that.

I am however, just about convinced that most confessional Lutherans are ISTJs. Maybe that would make an interesting masters thesis.....

Well, I just took the test and I am an ISTJ. But, I was pretty close to the E. It was almost 50-50.
I am going to take it again later and see what I come up with. I have to get ready for church.:)

I"m ISTP, married to ISTJ.

It's really interesting to give this test to your whole family. My teens are ESTJ, ESFP, INTJ and that insight has helped me know how to relate to them in certain situations.

I test differently every time. But I prefer to think of myself as flexible and laid-back, not wishy-washy with multiple personalities. :)

I am an ENFP. Strong E & P.
Borderline F vs. T,but I think it always comes out F.

Hubby is an ISTJ.

Ooops. Last time I took it I was an ENFJ. Wonder what that means. :)

Jane,

Some of these traits, you can be very close to edge on, and when you are, your mood, life situation, etc. can push you over just a bit. Usually, the one that is most stable is Introversion vs. Extroversion.

Judging and Perceiving actually have to do with how you relate to time. A judger sees it as a more concrete, specific thing. A perceiver sees it as more flexible and flowing. (this is expressed most clearly in structure and punctuality).

I'd say J vs. P is probably one of the most flexible and influenced by life needs. So you can be a strong J at one point, but be a strong P at others.

I'm a strongly expressed INTP (I: 78% N: 100% T: 68% P: 66%). I'm married to a strongly expressed INTJ; she rocks!

My kids are INTJ, ESFP, ISTJ, ENFJ.

It certainly does help in the communication department to know what your general inclinations are. For my wife and I, it's helped us jump quite a few hurdles that were plaguing us for a number of years.

The P vs. J thing is interesting. I deal with time differently depending on the circumstances. In every day life we're pretty unstructured, but I hate to be late and I sometimes have to really plan my time.
